My Favourite trick and why

my favourite trick

One of my absolute favourite magic tricks is undoubtedly one of the oldest in history—illustrated in ancient Egyptian hieroglyphics: the cups and balls. This classic trick masterfully combines a captivating beginning, a thrilling middle, and a surprising end, leaving audiences in awe.

In a world dominated by digital technology and high-tech wizardry, it’s astonishing how the straightforward elements of three cups and three balls continue to enchant spectators, just as it did thousands of years ago. Some traditions endure for a reason, and the pure, organic nature of the cups and balls is what delivers that unforgettable “wow” factor.

As an entertainer and sleight-of-hand artist, I relish the opportunity to showcase my skills through this remarkable trick, employing prestidigitation and misdirection at their finest.

Penn and Teller controversially performed it on television with clear plastic cups—audiences were still left utterly mystified, proving that true magic transcends time and sophistication.
